Fractals {drabble}

She remembered a time that she had tried to push out of her mind. While parts of it were clear and vivid, as they were supposed to be, quite a lot of it seemed little more than fractals, than dreams ruled by emotions. Red, angry figures in the back of her mind, hazy dreams of angerhatedisappointmentfury. A haze over her eyes, a fear, pushed away to the depths of her mind where the pasts belongs awakened and briefly stirring. And then...something broke through and the fractals and dreams disappeared as quickly as they came, leaving only a beam of sunshine behind in their wake to melt the ice that had frozen over the wastelands of her heart.
